DIY Camper Shoe Storage, End Table & Trash Can
Small campers don't leave much room for furniture that only does one job, so I built one narrow cabinet beside the bed to solve several problems at once.
It works as a bedside end table, holds several pairs of shoes, and hides a full-size kitchen trash can without taking up extra floor space.

One Small Camper Cabinet, Three Uses
The open space beside our camper bed was useful, but I didn't want to fill it with a piece of furniture that only served as a nightstand. In a small camper, every bit of floor space needs to work harder than that.
I built a narrow cabinet that gives us an end table beside the bed while also creating organized shoe storage underneath. The open shelves hold several pairs of shoes and keep them from piling up around the camper entrance or under the bed.
The other side of the cabinet is sized around a full-size Simplehuman kitchen trash can. That lets us keep a normal-size trash can in the camper without leaving it sitting out in the walkway or giving up valuable cabinet space elsewhere.
For the top, I reused the sink insert that originally came with the camper. It already fit the camper's look, and repurposing it gave the cabinet a finished surface without having to buy another piece of material.
The result is the kind of project I like most for small spaces: one compact build that solves several everyday problems instead of creating another single-purpose piece of furniture.
